Convergence: Action Comics #2 (2015), written by Justin Gray with art by Claude St. Aubin, concludes the confrontation between the pre-Crisis Earth-2 heroes and the characters from the Soviet-ruled Red Son Universe (Earth-30).
Plot Synopsis
The story picks up the battle between the Earth-2 Power Girl (Kara Zor-L) and the Earth-30 Wonder Woman in the streets of Moscow.
- The Fight: Power Girl is initially attacked by Wonder Woman in an invisible jet engineered by that world's Lex Luthor. The fight quickly becomes a brawl in the city, where Power Girl's "punch first, ask questions later" approach is met with the ruthless tactics of the Amazonian from the Red Son reality.
- The Coup: Meanwhile, in a lab, the Earth-30 Lex Luthor successfully seizes power from Joseph Stalin, locking the dictator away using his robot army. Luthor intends to destroy the other domed cities to save his own, a plan that the Earth-30 Lois Lane objects to.
- Superman's Intervention: Just as the battle escalates, the pre-Crisis Earth-2 Superman (Kal-L) arrives. He breaks up the fight and, through diplomacy and "the power of his words," convinces both Power Girl and the Red Son Wonder Woman that they are all heroes being forced to fight for a false cause.
- Forming an Alliance: The three heroes then storm Luthor's lab, defeat his robots, and depose Luthor and Stalin. The Red Son Wonder Woman and Lois Lane agree that working together is the better solution. The issue concludes with the Earth-2 Superman and Power Girl returning to their families and agreeing to form an alliance to take the fight to the real enemy: the architects of the Convergence event itself.
