Story Synopsis

The issue is set in the domed city of Gotham from the Pre-Zero Hour continuity, which has been cut off from the rest of the world for a year.

• Life Under the Dome: The three Batgirls—Stephanie Brown (the current Batgirl), Cassandra Cain (the former Batgirl who is struggling with her identity), and a wheelchair-bound Barbara Gordon (Oracle)—have been living without their powers and superhero lives. This forced downtime has allowed them to form a close bond as friends, living together and navigating life in a mundane, domeless world. Barbara runs a community garden, and the others try to find their place.
• The Dome Falls: When the dome is lifted, their powers and abilities are restored. The trio must immediately transition from mundane friendship to a high-stakes, multiversal superhero team.
• The Flashpoint Invasion: The city they are forced to battle against is the bleak and war-torn Gotham from the Flashpoint universe. Their champions are the brutal and militaristic Flashpoint Wonder Woman and her army of Amazonian warriors.
• A Battle of Ideals: The Flashpoint Amazons are ruthless soldiers who believe in conquest and war, viewing the Pre-Zero Hour Gotham heroes as weak. The three Batgirls, conversely, fight to protect their found family and their city. The issue sets up a conflict between two vastly different definitions of heroism and power.
• The Cliffhanger: The issue ends as the three heroines engage in a fight for survival against the overwhelming force of the Flashpoint Amazons.
