Convergence: Batman and Robin #1 (2015) brings back the fan-favorite Pre-Flashpoint duo of Damian Wayne and Bruce Wayne as they face a brutal challenge from the heroes of the Extremists universe.

Story Synopsis

The issue is set in the domed Gotham City of the Pre-Flashpoint (pre-New 52) timeline, where the heroes have been powerless for a year.

• Family Dynamic: The story focuses heavily on the relationship between Bruce and a young, headstrong Damian. Even without their gadgets and powers, they have spent the year maintaining order in their neighborhood. Damian struggles with the boredom of a "normal" life, while Bruce attempts to teach him patience and humility.
• The Dome Falls: When Telos drops the dome and restores their abilities, the duo immediately dons their costumes. However, their reunion is cut short by the arrival of the champions from another city.
• The Extremists' Challenge: The opposing force is a group of villains known as The Extremists (from the Angor universe), led by the formidable and ruthless Lord Havok. Unlike many other matches that involve heroes, this is a pure clash between the Dynamic Duo and a team of bloodthirsty conquerors.
• The Battle: The issue culminates in a high-stakes brawl. While Batman and Robin are highly skilled, they are physically outmatched by the raw power and lethal weaponry of Lord Havok and his team.
