Convergence: Justice League #1 (2015), written by Frank Tieri with art by Vicente Cifuentes, features a female-led team of pre-Flashpoint heroes trapped under a dome in Gotham City. The issue balances personal drama with a sudden multiversal threat from the Flashpoint timeline.
Plot Synopsis
For an entire year, a group of heroines—Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), Zatanna, Vixen, Jade, and Mera—has been trapped in Gotham City under an impenetrable dome that has nullified their superpowers.
- The Baby Shower: The story begins with the group attending a baby shower for Jesse Quick, who is pregnant and has also lost her speed.
- Life Under the Dome: The issue depicts the women adjusting to normal lives; Supergirl works as a bouncer, and Mera struggles with being separated from Arthur Curry (Aquaman).
- The Dome Drops: When the entity Telos removes the dome, their powers are instantly restored.
- The Kidnapping: As the heroes regain their footing, Mera is suddenly kidnapped from an alley by a brutal, alternate-reality version of her husband: Flashpoint Aquaman. This Emperor Aquaman, who lost his own Mera in his timeline, intends to claim her for himself.
- The Confrontation: The issue ends with the remaining Justice League members—Supergirl, Vixen, Zatanna, and Jade—preparing to launch a rescue mission against Emperor Aquaman's massive Atlantean army and his summoned Kraken.
