Cyborg # 1 2015 NM

Cyborg # 1, released by DC Comics on July 22, 2015, marked the launch of Victor Stone's first ongoing solo series in the post-Flashpoint era. Written by David F. Walker and illustrated by the superstar team of Ivan Reis and Joe Prado, the issue serves as a fresh starting point for the Justice League hero, exploring his evolution from "man" to something potentially more alien. 

"Unplugged" 

The story picks up following Cyborg's death and unexpected regeneration at the end of the Convergence event. 

• The Evolution: Victor Stone returns to S.T.A.R. Labs Detroit to discover that his cybernetic implants are evolving and regrowing damaged human parts, a change neither he nor his father can explain.
• Family Conflict: The narrative delves into Victor's strained relationship with his father, Dr. Silas Stone, who continues to view him more as a scientific experiment than a son.
• The Cosmic Threat: While Victor struggles with his identity on Earth, an alien race of parasitic machine-beings known as the Technosapiens is drawn to his new tech. They begin a cross-universal hunt to possess the source of Cyborg's evolution, threatening to absorb humanity into their collective.
• Human Connections: The issue highlights Victor’s friendship with Sarah Charles, who remains his strongest moral anchor and believes in his humanity when he questions it himself.
