Damage Control faces a PR crisis when a police lieutenant named Steve Sure accuses them of intentionally staging superhuman disasters to profit from the subsequent cleanup jobs.
- Heroic Appearances: The issue features high-profile guest stars, including Spider-Man (who stops Thunderball from a bank heist) and the Hulk, who is trying to enjoy a baseball game at Yankee Stadium while the public assumes he will cause trouble.
- Speedball Eavesdropping: Intern Robbie Baldwin (Speedball) eavesdrops on the investigation, while the New Warriors are also summoned to the scene by his concerns.
- The Movie Pitch: Amidst the legal threats, the firm's head of marketing, Henry Ackerdson, unveils a plan to produce a "Damage Control" movie directed by an eccentric filmmaker who struggles with storytelling.
