DC Comics Presents: Green Lantern/The Flash #1 is a 96-page special published in January 2011 (with a cover date of 2010). This issue serves as a "Value-Priced" reprint of the two-part prestige miniseries Green Lantern/Flash: Faster Friends originally released in 1997. 

Plot and Content

The story, titled "Faster Friends," is an intergenerational epic that spans from the 1940s to the modern day: 

• The Golden Age Chapter: Originally from issue #1 of the 1947 series, it features Alan Scott (Green Lantern) and Jay Garrick (The Flash) as they encounter a mysterious alien threat known as Alien X.
• The Modern Era Chapter: Originally from issue #2, the story concludes with Kyle Rayner (Green Lantern) and Wally West (The Flash) teaming up to finish the battle their predecessors started.
• The Menace: The heroes must stop Alien X, a creature that feeds on kinetic and willpower energies.
