DC Comics Presents: The Flash #1 (2011) is an anthology that reprints classic Silver Age Barry Allen stories, primarily focusing on time travel and battles against his early foes, the Rogues.

The issue compiles several key historical narratives, providing a look back at the origins of the Silver Age Flash and some of his most memorable early adventures. 

• "Mystery of the Human Thunderbolt!": Reprinted from Showcase #4 (1956), this is the first appearance and origin story of Barry Allen as the Flash. It establishes his transformation from a police scientist to a speedster after a lightning strike and chemical spill in his lab.
• "The Giants of the Time-World!" / "The Conquerors of Time!": These stories, from Showcase #14 (1958), involve time travel plots, pitting the Flash against threats from different eras.
• "The Master of Mirror-World!": Reprinted from The Flash #125 (1961), featuring the villain Mirror Master.
• "Here Comes Captain Boomerang": From The Flash #130 (1962), this story introduces the popular villain Captain Boomerang.
• "Menace of the Reverse-Flash!": From The Flash #139 (1963), this is a key early appearance of the Reverse-Flash (Professor Zoom/Eobard Thawne), one of the Flash's greatest foes.
