DCeased: A Good Day to Die # 1 Variant Cover 2019 NM-

DCeased: A Good Day to Die # 1 is a 2019 one-shot comic that expands the DCeased universe, focusing on a "motley crew" of B-list heroes attempting to find a scientific, magical, or temporal solution to the Anti-Life zombie apocalypse. 

The story begins with Mister Miracle (Scott Free) and Big Barda returning from a decimated Apokolips to an Earth already overrun by the infection. They join forces with Mister Terrific, who has been shielded from the virus by his T-Spheres. 

• The Scientific Approach: Mister Terrific attempts to study an infected Captain Boomerang but finds no immediate cure.
• The Temporal Approach: The team recruits Blue Beetle (Ted Kord) and Booster Gold. They attempt to use Booster's Time Sphere to prevent the outbreak, but they are confronted by Waverider, who informs them that the event is a fixed point in time. Their interference causes Booster Gold to be erased from the timeline.
• The Magical Approach: Desperate, the remaining heroes seek out John Constantine. Although he initially refuses to help, the group—including Zatanna, Doctor Fate, and Detective Chimp—eventually attempts a magical stand against the tide. 
• The mission ends tragically for most of the team. Blue Beetle is infected, and Mister Terrific is killed. The issue concludes with Constantine realizing he must take a more active role in saving what remains of humanity, a thread that continues in the DCeased: Dead Planet and Unkillables series. 
• Mister Terrific: The leader who organizes the group.
• Mister Miracle & Big Barda: Escaped the destruction of Apokolips only to find Earth in ruins.
• Booster Gold & Blue Beetle: Provide comic relief before meeting their respective fates.
