Doctor Strange / Ghost Rider Special # 1 (April 1991), titled "Strange Tales Part II," is a prestige-format one-shot that continues a supernatural crossover between the Sorcerer Supreme and the Spirit of Vengeance.

The story picks up directly from events in Ghost Rider #12. 

• Dimensional Incursion: Doctor Strange and Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch) travel to the dimension of the Dykkors. They discover that these beings are the true creators of the villain Zodiak.
• The Trap: While the heroes are in the alternate dimension, Zodiak attacks and mortally wounds Topaz. However, it is revealed that "Topaz" was actually Strange's apprentice, Rintrah, in disguise.
• The Resolution: Combining Strange's mystic arts with Ghost Rider’s hellfire, the two allies battle demonic forces and "Inferno Demons". They eventually seal a mystical breach to prevent more souls from being claimed by supernatural chaos.
