Doomed # 1 2015 NM

Doomed # 1, released on June 17, 2015, is the debut of a six-issue DC Comics series written by Scott Lobdell with art by Javi Fernandez. Part of the "DC You" initiative, the series introduces a new, younger character to the DC Universe who struggles with a monstrous transformation. 

The story follows Reiser, a bright college freshman and scientific prodigy who lands a late-night internship at S.T.A.R. Labs Metropolis. During his first assignment—a routine cleaning duty—he is accidentally exposed to "Doomsday spores," the same ancient organisms that once transformed Superman into a monster. 

This exposure grants Reiser the ability to mutate into a hulking, powerful version of Doomsday. The issue establishes his struggle to balance a mundane life—dealing with midterms, a potential romance, and caring for his Aunt Belle—with the terrifying reality that he is being hunted by both heroes like the Teen Titans and mysterious figures like Alpha Centurion.
