Dungeons & Dragons: Black & White #1, published in July 2002 by Kenzer & Company, is the start of a six-issue miniseries following a group of adventurers who inadvertently get wrapped up in a rebellion plot within the Flanaess region. The entire series features black-and-white interior artwork.
The issue introduces Tinelith, a beautiful half-Elf thief, who is on the run after unknowingly stealing information that could expose a decades-old plan to overthrow several governments. She is accompanied by her companions:
The group is initially concerned with their own survival and profit but quickly find themselves fighting against shadowy forces and questioning whether they are in control of their own destiny. The story is set in the Greyhawk campaign setting, specifically within the region of Nyrond.

This miniseries was part of a new era of D&D comics produced by Kenzer & Company, known for using the d20 system license at the time.
