EC Comics Presents Blood Type #0 FCBD 2025 is a special promotional anthology comic co-published by Oni Press and EC Comics. Released on May 3, 2025, this issue made history by introducing the first-ever standalone, ongoing character spin-off series in EC Comics' modern revival.

Featuring a cover by Eisner Award nominee Tyler Crook, the book serves as a 32-page "Teen+" sampler that bundles a brand-new premiere story with several fan-favorite horror shorts from EC's first year of publishing:

The Main Feature: "Blood Type"

• The Creative Team: Written by Corinna Bechko with art by Jonathan Case.
• The Plot: The story acts as a prologue spotlighting Ada, a sophisticated, pleasure-seeking, and deeply bloodthirsty vampire. The brief, pulpy narrative tracks Ada as she corners a meal in a dark alleyway, only to end up escaping onto a boat caught in the middle of a massive, violent storm.
• The Legacy: This story was designed to reintroduce Ada right before she transitioned into her own full-length standalone miniseries, Blood Type #1, which launched in June 2025 under the creative direction of Bechko and artist Andrea Sorrentino.

• "The Champion": Originally from EC Cruel Universe #1, written by Matt Kindt and illustrated by Kano. It follows a warrior named Jake who is captured by space pirates and forced to fight for survival in a lethal "Universal Tournament of Champions" where failure means immediate execution.
• "Death and Pickaxes": Culled from the pages of Cruel Kingdom, this segment offers a dark, adult-oriented horror spin on the classic Sleeping Beauty fairy tale. It focuses on the lone remaining dwarf tasked with protecting the sleeping princess, who lets his bitter mood lead to a disastrous, murderous mistake.
