Final Boss #1 released on November 19, 2025, is the high-octane debut of a new ongoing series from Image Comics, written and illustrated by fan-favorite artist Tyler Kirkham. The series is a stylized love letter to '80s and '90s action cinema and classic "beat 'em up" arcade games like Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. 

Core Storyline: "Genesis"

The story follows Tommy Brazen, a disgraced former Special Forces operative who is barely getting by. 

• The Struggle: Living day-to-day, Tommy takes various "low-rent" enforcer jobs and fights in underground cage matches to make ends meet and find clues about his missing father.
• The Power: During a high-stakes title match against a massive opponent named Chain Pain, Tommy discovers he has inherited supernatural strength and a rapid healing factor.
• The Legacy: These powers are tied to his grandfather, Jay Brazen, a WWII veteran who discovered a mystical temple dedicated to an ancient God of War.
• The Tournament: Tommy's journey eventually leads him toward a mysterious island where competitors engage in gladiator-style bouts to inherit divine power.
