Flashpoint: Kid Flash Lost #1 is a 32-page tie-in comic published by DC Comics on June 22, 2011, as part of the massive Flashpoint crossover event. Written by Sterling Gates with artwork by Oliver Nome, the issue follows Bart Allen (Kid Flash) as he finds himself stranded in a dark future alternate timeline.

Plot Summary: "Lost in Time"

The story picks up with Bart Allen waking up in a reality-altered version of the 31st Century.

  • A False Reality: Bart initially dreams he is racing with his grandfather, Barry Allen, who is verbally abusive and tells him he will never live up to Wally West. Using his photographic memory, Bart notices inconsistencies in the dream and literally punches his way into the real world.
  • The 31st Century: Bart discovers he is in the year 3011, a ruined future ruled by a version of Brainiac.
  • Power Loss: He soon realizes the Speed Force is missing in this timeline, leaving him without his super-speed and vulnerable.
  • Unlikely Ally: He is rescued by a new, female version of Hot Pursuit, who is revealed to be an alternate-reality Patty Spivot.
  • Cliffhanger: The issue ends with Bart noticing that his hand is physically disappearing—a "Marty McFly" moment signaling that he is being erased from existence due to the shifted timeline.
