Giant-Size X-Men # 1 2025 NM

Giant-Size X-Men # 1 (2025) is about Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) being involuntarily pulled through time by an unhinged villain named Legion to witness key moments in X-Men history, starting with their first encounter with the living island Krakoa. Her presence threatens to alter history as she navigates this iconic past from a new perspective. 

• Time Travel Begins: The story starts with Ms. Marvel and her friend Bruno in the present when a time warp, caused by the villain Legion, pulls her into the past.
• The Original Mission Revisited: Kamala lands near the X-Mansion in the time of the original Giant-Size X-Men #1 (1975) storyline. Cyclops recognizes her from a previous encounter, and she quickly joins the new, international X-Men team (including Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, Banshee, Sunfire, and Thunderbird) on their mission to rescue the original team from the island of Krakoa.
• A New Perspective on an Iconic Event: Kamala provides a contemporary perspective on the classic "Second Genesis" story. Using her knowledge of Krakoan language learned in her own time, she communicates with the island, warning it of Legion's attack and helping it escape into space, thus altering the original sequence of events and leading to the activation of her own mutant powers.
• The Villain's Plan: The issue sets up a larger conflict, as it becomes clear Legion has pulled Kamala through time for a specific, currently unclear purpose, and her journey is just beginning.
• Backup Story: The comic also includes a "Revelations" backup story by Al Ewing and Sara Pichelli, which introduces a new mutant character named Justina LaGuardia who outmatches Professor X in a past encounter and compels him to forget her, setting up a future storyline. 

The issue is the first of five "Giant-Size" one-shots celebrating various X-Men anniversaries and is designed to retell key historical moments through Ms. Marvel's eyes.
