Plot and Story Arc

The issue follows the vengeful entity Eclipso as he attempts to possess the powerful Green Lantern, Hal Jordan. 

• The Black Diamond: Eclipso uses shards of the "Heart of Darkness" (black diamonds) to possess anyone who touches them while feeling intense anger.
• Possession of Allies: Unable to immediately reach Hal, Eclipso possesses both Guy Gardner and Carol Ferris (Star Sapphire).
• Star Sapphire vs. Green Lantern: The possessed Carol Ferris acts on her repressed anger toward Hal Jordan, resulting in a violent confrontation between the two.
• Resolution: The threat is eventually managed when Bruce Gordon (Eclipso's human host) and his crew use a solar generator to drive the entity out of Star Sapphire.
