Green Lantern Corps: Edge of Oblivion #1 (2016) picks up where the Green Lantern: Lost Army series ended, with the Green Lantern Corps stranded in a dying universe and desperately searching for a way back to their own reality before entropy consumes everything.
Main Plot
The issue finds the remaining Green Lanterns, including John Stewart, Guy Gardner, Kilowog, and Salaak, lost in a universe that is literally collapsing around them. The very laws of physics are breaking down, and time is running out. The Corps decides their best hope is to use their living-planet ally, Mogo, to amplify their power and shine a bright signal into the darkness in hopes of guiding other lost Lanterns home.
This plan works, but it also attracts attention from others in the dying universe. A massive, floating "Last City," populated by refugees and led by two towering beings named Dismas and Ausras, arrives. These "guardians" of the Last City are also seeking a way to survive the universal entropy.
While the two groups of survivors cautiously interact and debate their next steps, an internal conspiracy is brewing within the Last City, as some of its inhabitants have deadly intentions toward the Lanterns. The issue ends with the death of one of the minor Lanterns, emphasizing the high stakes and constant danger the Corps faces in this hostile environment.
