Green Lantern Corps: Futures End # 1 3D Lenticular Cover 2014 NM

Green Lantern Corps: Futures End #1 (2014) is a one-shot comic released on September 10, 2014, as part of DC's "Futures End" event. Set five years into a potential future, the story focuses on a hardened, more aggressive John Stewart as he leads a mission for the survival of the Corps. 

Plot and Storyline

The issue, titled "The Death Dealer," presents a bleak future where the Green Lantern Corps is at war with an entity known as the Shadow Empire. 

• A Ruthless John Stewart: John Stewart has become a cold, violent special operative who views younger Lanterns as "cannon fodder". This change is largely attributed to a traumatic past event involving the character Fatality.
• The Mission to Oa: John leads a small team on a rescue mission to the fallen planet Oa, which is currently occupied by the Shadow Empire.
• Indigo Tribe Transformation: During the conflict, the leader of the Indigo Tribe, Indigo-1, is fatally wounded. She reveals she was seeking a successor to lead her tribe against a rising darkness. Because of his recent history of violence and internal darkness, John is chosen as her replacement. The issue ends with his Green Lantern ring falling off and being replaced by an Indigo power ring.

The issue features a large collaborative art team, which some reviewers noted led to stylistic inconsistencies in certain panels.
