Green Lantern: Larfleeze Christmas Special #1 (2011) is a humorous, holiday-themed one-shot featuring the greediest character in the DC Universe, Larfleeze (the sole wielder of the Orange Lantern ring), as he discovers the concept of Santa Claus.

Main Plot: "Orange You Glad It's Christmas?!"

Larfleeze, having moved to a small town in Minnesota, becomes obsessed with Santa Claus after learning that a "jolly old fat man" will deliver every item on a wish list for free. He prepares for months, building a chimney in his junkyard home and leaving out "Christmas barter" (cookies and milk).

When he wakes up on Christmas morning to find zero presents, Larfleeze flies into a "rage of avarice". He begins a hunt for Santa, terrorizing a parade in Times Square and accosting department store Santas before heading to the North Pole to melt the ice and find the "Guardian of Christmas".

Hal Jordan intervenes at the North Pole and attempts to teach Larfleeze the "Spirit of Christmas," explaining that it is about generosity rather than possession. Hal enlists Larfleeze to give away his mountain of stolen junk as gifts to those in need. While Larfleeze ultimately declares he "doesn't like" the spirit of giving, the issue ends on a poignant note when he looks at the one item on his list he truly needs: "My Family".
