Hawkworld Annual # 1, released in December 1990, is a key issue that explores the complex connection between the Thanagarian Hawkman (Katar Hol) and his Golden Age counterpart, Carter Hall. 

"A Hawkman of Two Worlds?" 

The story follows Katar Hol and Shayera Thal as they discover the existence of a previous Hawkman and Hawkgirl on Earth.
