Hercules # 3 1984 VF+

Hercules # 3 (May 1984), a Marvel Comics issue subtitled "Deadly Legacy", brings the demigod to the home of the space Eternals, Titan, where he must face a disciple of Thanos and learn of his father Zeus' madness. 

"Deadly Legacy" 

• A Dying God: Hercules and his companions are summoned to Titan, the home of the space-faring Eternals. There, they find the sun god Apollo at death's doorstep, critically injured.
• The Warning: Before he potentially dies, Apollo manages to warn his brother Hercules of their father's (Zeus) growing insanity and the chilling news that Zeus has begun murdering the other Olympian gods.
• A Disciple of Thanos: Hercules must also contend with Dhielus Shreck, the last remaining follower of the mad titan Thanos, who is attempting to destroy Titan.
• The Nega-Bands: Shreck is a formidable opponent, as he has acquired the powerful Nega-Bands that once belonged to the deceased hero Captain Marvel (Mar-Vell). The issue ends with a cliffhanger as Hercules prepares to face this new threat. 
• Story & Art: The issue was written, penciled, and inked by Bob Layton.
• Characters: Key appearances include Hercules, Apollo, Mentor (an Eternal), Starfox, the Skrull Skyppi, Recorder 417, and the villain Shreck.
