Infinite Crisis # 1 Dollar Comics Reprint # 1 2019 NM

Infinite Crisis # 1 is the premiere issue of DC Comics' 2005 mega-event, serving as a direct sequel to 1985's Crisis on Infinite Earths. Published in October 2005, the issue sets a grim tone for the DC Universe, depicting its "darkest day" as the core heroes—Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman—are fractured by ideological differences and personal tragedies. 

The debut issue introduces multiple global and cosmic threats simultaneously: 

• A Divided Trinity: The issue opens with Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman arguing in the ruins of the JLA Watchtower. Their trust is shattered following Wonder Woman’s recent killing of Maxwell Lord and Batman’s creation of the rogue Brother Eye satellite.
• The OMAC Threat: Hundreds of OMAC (Observational Metahuman Activity Construct) units begin swarming major cities, hunting down heroes and villains alike.
• Cosmic and Mystical Chaos: A massive war erupts between the planets Rann and Thanagar, while the Spectre destroys the Rock of Eternity, unleashing demons onto Earth and leaving magic users vulnerable.
• The Return of Lost Heroes: The most significant reveal is the escape of four survivors from the original 1985 Crisis: Kal-L (the Earth-Two Superman), Lois Lane (Earth-Two), Alexander Luthor Jr. (Earth-Three), and Superboy-Prime. Tired of the modern world's darkness, they punch through their "paradise" dimension to intervene in New Earth’s reality.
