The comic delves into his backstory, revealing glimpses of his origin as the savior of his homeworld who ultimately had to abandon it to save it from his own bloodlust. 

The main plot of the issue, and the series as a whole, focuses on Battle Beast's quest for a meaningful, honorable fight to the death, even among mighty Viltrumites like Invincible and Omni-Man. He essentially embarks on a brutal journey, encountering various tyrants and foes, seeking someone who can finally put an end to his life in a battle worthy of his strength.
