Iron Man: Legacy #1 2010 NM-

Iron Man: Legacy #1 June 2010 launched an ongoing series designed to explore standalone stories from different eras of Tony Stark's history. The debut issue begins the three-part "War of the Iron Men" story arc. 

"War of the Iron Men Part One"

Written by Fred Van Lente and illustrated by Steve Kurth, the story is set in the past, specifically between Iron Man (Vol. 3) #50 and #55, a period when Tony Stark still used the cover story that Iron Man was his personal bodyguard. 

• The Conflict: Tony Stark discovers that stolen Iron Man technology is being utilized for ethnic cleansing in Transia, a war-torn land.
• The Dilemma: Despite warnings from the U.S. government and allies like Nick Fury and James Rhodes, Tony decides he cannot ignore the misuse of his inventions.
• The Action: Defying orders, Stark wages a one-man invasion of Transia to hunt down the renegade "Iron Men".
• The Adversaries: His intervention sets him on a collision course with the champions of Russia and China, including Radioactive Man, Titanium Man, and the Crimson Dynamo.
• The Cliffhanger: The issue ends with a shocking revelation of the classic Marvel villain secretly orchestrating the conflict.
