Justice League #3 (published in 2012) is the third chapter of the "Origin" story arc in DC’s New 52 relaunch. Written by Geoff Johns with iconic art by Jim Lee, the issue is best known for introducing the Amazonian warrior Wonder Woman into the modern team dynamic.

Plot Summary: "Justice League: Part Three"

  • Wonder Woman's Debut: Diana of Themyscira makes her first modern appearance in Washington, D.C., where she is on a diplomatic tour. She is quickly drawn into the conflict when Parademons begin attacking the city.
  • The Meeting: Wonder Woman encounters the other founding members—Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and Flash—who are already struggling to contain the mysterious alien invasion. Her battle-ready attitude and sheer power initially surprise the others.
  • The Victor Stone Tragedy: Meanwhile, at S.T.A.R. Labs, high school athlete Victor Stone is caught in an explosion caused by an alien Mother Box. His father, Silas Stone, desperately uses experimental technology to save him, setting the stage for Victor’s transformation into Cyborg.
  • The Growing Threat: The issue ends with the heroes realizing that the Parademons are merely scouts for a much larger, singular threat: the cosmic tyrant Darkseid.
