Justice League #6 (2012) is the concluding chapter of the "Origin" story arc in DC’s New 52 relaunch. It officially establishes the core team as they unite for the first time to repel a global invasion by the cosmic tyrant Darkseid. 

Plot Summary

• The Final Battle: Earth is under massive assault by Parademons while five of the heroes—Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and the Flash—engage Darkseid directly in Metropolis.
• Rescue on Apokolips: An unmasked Batman infiltrates Darkseid's home world, Apokolips, to rescue Superman from the torturous clutches of Desaad and Steppenwolf.
• Tactical Victory: The team achieves the impossible by injuring Darkseid; Wonder Woman and Aquaman notably strike him in the eyes to disable his Omega Beams.
• Exile: Cyborg uses his internal technology to hack a Mother Box and open a "one-way" Boom Tube, sending Darkseid and his forces back to Apokolips.
• Founding the League: In the aftermath, the heroes are honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C.. Though they initially claim they are not a team, they decide to continue working together under the name "Justice League," as christened by the public.
