Justice League: Gods and Monsters - Wonder Woman #1 (2015) is a prequel to the animated film Justice League: Gods and Monsters. It reimagines Wonder Woman not as Diana Prince, but as Bekka of the New Gods, who arrives on Earth in the 1960s seeking a fresh start after a tragic betrayal on her home planet. 

Plot Summary: "The Dream"

The story follows Bekka as she attempts to find peace among a group of young idealists during the turbulent 1960s. 

• Arrival on Earth: Bekka emerges from a boom tube portal while being pursued by a fearsome monster. After defeating it, she is found exhausted by a group of hippies.
• The Commune: She joins an upstate New York commune in 1967, seeking the higher ideals of love and peace championed by the counterculture movement.
• Conflict: Her peaceful "Aquarian dream" is shattered when she encounters the villainous Doctor Psycho and a group known as the Shock Exchange.
• Character Evolution: The narrative focuses on Bekka's internal journey as she deals with the "sins of her father" and her own past while becoming a protector for the weak.
