Justice League International Special #1 1990 subtitled "Mister Miracle: 1990 World Tour," is an oversized one-shot comic that follows a bizarre intergalactic mishap involving Scott Free (Mister Miracle).

"The Show Must Go On..."

The story centers on Scott Free’s manager, Funky Flashman, who attempts to relaunch Mister Miracle's stage career with a major performance at Madison Square Garden.

  • The Deception: Flashman unknowingly signs a contract with the intergalactic trader Manga Khan. While Flashman believed he was arranging an Earth-based tour to advertise "Miracle Mister" cleaning products, the contract was actually for a year-long intergalactic tour.
  • The Abduction: During his opening night performance, Scott Free, Oberon, and Flashman are teleported to Manga Khan's starship, the Cluster. Scott is forced to fulfill the legally binding contract by touring deep space.
  • The Robot Substitute: To prevent the Justice League from intervening, Manga Khan replaces Scott on Earth with a robot doppelgänger. The decoy successfully fools Scott's wife, Big Barda, and his JLI teammates, who remain unaware of his abduction.
  • Writers: Keith Giffen (plot) and Len Wein (script).
  • Artists: Joe Phillips (pencils/cover) and Bruce Patterson (inks).
  • Guest Stars: The issue features the full JLI/JLE roster of the era, including Guy Gardner, Martian Manhunter, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Power Girl, Fire, Ice, and Huntress.
