Justice League of America #1, published by DC Comics in June 2015, is the start of a new series (Volume 4) written and drawn by Bryan Hitch that focuses on widescreen, epic action and a powerful new alien threat with ties to ancient Krypton. 

Storyline Overview

The debut issue sets up an epic, world-ending scenario where the Justice League faces a challenge unlike any before. 

• The Alien Armada: An armada of aliens arrives on Earth claiming to be a peaceful religious tribe, but their true intentions are sinister and they have links to ancient Krypton.
• The Infinity Corporation: Superman is led to a mysterious organization called the Infinity Corporation, where he discovers a room full of dead versions of himself from different timelines and learns of a plot to save his life using the "Stones of Forever".
• The Parasite Attack: Simultaneously, the rest of the League (Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash, and Cyborg) are drawn to a new power plant where they face a powerful and overgrown Parasite. The League is overwhelmed, with some members disappearing or being defeated, forcing Superman to leave the Infinity Corporation to aid them.
• The Arrival of Rao: The issue ends with the dramatic appearance of Rao, an ancient Kryptonian god, in a massive cathedral-style spaceship hovering over New York, seemingly offering to save the world.
