Justice League Red #1 (2025) is the debut of a six-issue miniseries that launched on August 20, 2025. Part of the "DC All-In" initiative, the story introduces a covert, black-ops branch of the Justice League so secret that the team's original founders—Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman—are unaware of its existence. 

Plot Summary

• The Mission: Red Tornado, acting as the "heart and mind" of the Watchtower, uses his advanced predictive algorithms to run thousands of future simulations. He concludes that the concentrated power of the newly reformed Justice League Unlimited will inevitably trigger a global apocalypse.
• The Recruitment: To prevent this dark future, Red Tornado secretly activates specialized "red" Justice League ID cards to summon specific heroes. In the first issue, he recruits Power Girl and Green Lantern (Simon Baz) for a mission on the planet Varva.
• The Conflict: The heroes are ordered to destroy a massive robot they are told is a weapon of mass destruction. However, after defeating it, they discover the machine was actually designed to grow food, leading them to immediately question Red Tornado's motives and the accuracy of his projections.
