Justice League Unlimited # 1 November 27, 2024 serves as the flagship title for DC’s "All In" initiative. Written by Mark Waid with art by Dan Mora, the series reimagines the League as a massive, world-spanning organization where nearly every hero in the DC Universe is a member.

The story takes place in the aftermath of the Absolute Power event and the death of Darkseid, which created a massive power vacuum in the DC Universe.

  • The Unlimited Roster: The League operates out of a new Watchtower, managed by a disembodied Red Tornado and The Question as Head of Security. Membership is open to all heroes, allowing for specialized strike teams for specific missions.
  • The Missions: The issue features two primary operations:
    • South Africa: Superman, Wonder Woman, Star Sapphire, Black Lightning, Kid Flash, and Firestorm battle an army of high-tech "War Wheels" attacking a mining town.
    • Costa Rica: Batman and Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) investigate the mysterious disappearance of children, discovering "unsettling" brightly colored pods in a forest.
  • The Atom Project: Ray Palmer and Ryan Choi lead a project to track and catalog metahuman powers that were scrambled during recent cosmic events.
  • A Traitor Within: The issue introduces a shadowy villain group called Inferno and ends with a major twist: a secret infiltrator (hinted to be the hero Air Wave) is plotting to destroy the League from the inside.
  • Tone: The series is intended to capture the large-scale, "anyone can appear" feel of the 2004 Justice League Unlimited animated series while staying firmly within current DC comic continuity.
  • Artwork: Dan Mora's art is widely praised for its vibrant, detailed depictions of both iconic and obscure heroes.
  • Bonus Content: This issue includes a special four-page prelude to the Hush 2 saga by the original creative team of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee.
