The backup feature shifts to the rest of the Superman family as they scramble to rescue their youngest members:

• Trapped in the Dreamscape: The Phaelosian Super-Twins (Otho-Ra and Osul-Ra) are lost in a shifting, hostile dream realm.
• The Cybernetic Hunter: They are being systematically hunted down by a monstrous, murderous nightmare manifestation of Hank Henshaw—the Cyborg Superman—who takes on the terrifying role of an abusive "adopted father" figure.
• The Rescue Party: Out in the waking world and through the fringes of sleep, Superboy (Conner Kent), Kong Kenan (the Superman of China), and the Steel family (John Henry and Natasha Irons) wage an uphill battle to locate the twins before they are permanently lost.
