Knight Terrors: Green Lantern #1, released on July 11, 2023, is a tie-in to DC's "Knight Terrors" event, where the villain Insomnia traps heroes and villains in their own worst nightmares. The issue features a main story focused on Hal Jordan and a backup story centered on Sinestro, both navigating distorted realities tailored to their deepest fears. 

Main Story: Doorway to Death

Written by Jeremy Adams with art by Eduardo Pansica, this story picks up after Hal Jordan's plane is brought down under mysterious circumstances. 

• The Nightmare: Hal is thrust into a series of traumatic memories, beginning with his father’s funeral and moving to the day Abin Sur died.
• The Twisted Reality: Unlike some other heroes, Hal quickly realizes the scenarios are incorrect. His journey culminates on a nightmarish version of Oa, where he faces twisted versions of the Guardians of the Universe and the entity Parallax.
• Core Fear: The issue explores Hal's fear of the responsibility of the ring and the haunting legacy of his time as Parallax. 

Backup Story: Shards from the Looking Glass

Written by Alex Segura with art by Mario "Fox" Foccillo, this story focuses on a depowered Sinestro trapped on Earth. 

• The Nightmare: Sinestro is plunged into a vision of a dead Korugar. He is confronted by a younger, more monstrous version of himself who mocks his current weakness.
• The Twist: Sinestro is seemingly "saved" by yet another version of himself—one that still wears the uniform and ring of the Green Lantern Corps.
• Core Fear: The narrative deconstructs Sinestro’s fear of being a failure and no longer being the man who commanded fear throughout the universe.
