Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate # 1 2023 NM

Lazarus Planet: Dark Fate # 1, released on February 14, 2023, is an anthology one-shot that serves as a critical tie-in to DC’s Lazarus Planet event. The issue is notable for introducing several new characters and setting up major 2023–2024 story arcs, including the return of the Doom Patrol and the debut of the Spirit World and Circuit Breaker. 

Four New Legends 

The 48-page special features four distinct short stories, each acting as a prelude to future "Dawn of DC" series: 

• "Whisper of the Moth" (Huntress): Helena Bertinelli enters Arkham Tower to stop a riot sparked by a newly empowered Killer Moth, whose Lazarus-altered powers can strip moral restraint from others.
• "Storm Damaged" (Unstoppable Doom Patrol): The team—including Robotman, Elasti-Woman, and Negative Man—is deployed to a military base to save soldiers from a technician mutated into a monster by the Lazarus rain. This story directly launches the Unstoppable Doom Patrol series.
• "8 Seconds of Still Force" (Circuit Breaker): Introduces Jules Jourdain (Circuit Breaker), a trans-masculine stage actor who gains control over the "Still Force" after being caught in the Lazarus storm. Jules later appeared in the DC Pride 2023 special.
• "The Envoy: A Spirit World Story" (Xanthe Zhou): Introduces Xanthe Zhou, a magic wielder from the Spirit World. With help from Cassandra Cain and John Constantine, Xanthe battles "hopping vampires" (Jiangshi) in a Gotham cemetery. This story leads directly into the Spirit World (2023) miniseries.
