Legion of Super-Heroes # 1 2010 VF/NM

Legion of Super-Heroes # 1 (Vol. 6), published by DC Comics in May 2010, marked the high-profile return of legendary writer Paul Levitz to the franchise. This series picks up after the events of Geoff Johns's "Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes" storyline and ties directly into concurrent Green Lantern Corps events. 

Story Synopsis: "The Choice" 

The premiere issue establishes a volatile political climate for the 31st-century team: 

• Forced Recruitment: The Legion is outraged when Earthgov—controlled by xenophobic politicians—forces them to accept Earth-Man, a former villain and "Legion Reject," as a new member.
• Planetary Destruction: The Time Institute attempts an experiment to view the Big Bang from their new headquarters on Titan. The experiment unleashes a destructive force that damages Titan's life support systems, eventually leading to the destruction of the planet.
• The New Green Lantern: The viewing of the Big Bang activates a protocol on Oa, releasing a being named Dyogene. Dyogene travels to Earth, takes the ring from Sodam Yat, and appoints Earth-Man as the new Green Lantern of Sector 2814.
• Family Tragedy: During the evacuation of Titan, Saturn Girl's children are mysteriously teleported away by a time-transport beam.
