Legionnaires # 1, published by DC Comics in April 1993, launched a new ongoing series focused on a younger, "teenage" version of the Legion of Super-Heroes known as the SW6 Legionnaires. This title offered a more optimistic and high-spirited tone compared to the darker "Five Years Later" era in the main Legion of Super-Heroes comic at the time.
Story Synopsis: "Baptism by Fire!"
The debut issue establishes a new status quo for the teenage heroes in the domed cities of New Earth.
