Legionnaires 3 # 1, published by DC Comics in February 1986, is the premiere of a four-issue limited series that pits the original founders of the Legion of Super-Heroes against their deadliest foe, the Time Trapper. 

Story Synopsis: "Future Shock!" 

The story focuses on the three founding members—Cosmic Boy, Lightning Lad, and Saturn Girl—who have largely stepped away from active Legion duty to pursue domestic lives. 

• The Catalyst: The issue begins in the Time Trapper’s citadel at the end of time. The Trapper, seeking to break the Legion, identifies Lightning Lad as the "weak link" due to his past insecurities.
• The Kidnapping: While Cosmic Boy is visiting Lightning Lad and Saturn Girl at their home in Metropolis, agents of the Time Trapper launch a surprise attack.
• The Trap: The agents successfully kidnap the couple’s infant son, Graym Ranzz.
• The Ultimatum: The Time Trapper leaves a message forbidding the founders from seeking help from the current Legion of Super-Heroes, insisting this battle remains solely between him and the three originals.
