Lobo #1 is the debut issue of a new ongoing DC Comics series released on March 18, 2026. It is part of the DC Next Level publishing initiative, which follows the events of the DC K.O. storyline.

Story Summary

The issue reintroduces Lobo as a classic intergalactic bounty hunter, moving away from previous redesigns to return to his iconic gritty, over-the-top '90s roots. 

• The Plot: Lobo is tracking a bounty to a space pub when he discovers that his target's bail bond business has been bought out by a massive, sinister conglomerate called Omni Mega+ Entertainment Corp.
• The Mission: The series follows Lobo on a "guts-soaked path" across the cosmic DC Universe, eventually leading him to the Source Wall.
• Continuity: The story takes place after Lobo was resurrected by Superman following the Omega Tournament in DC K.O.. 

Live-Action Connection

The comic’s release is timed to coincide with the character's live-action debut in the DC Universe (DCU). Jason Momoa is set to portray Lobo in the upcoming film Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, scheduled for release on June 26, 2026.
