Manhunter Oversize Special # 1 2017 NM-

Manhunter Oversize Special # 1 (August 2017) is a 48-page tribute one-shot released as part of DC Comics’ Jack Kirby 100th Celebration. The issue features new stories based on Kirby’s classic characters alongside vintage reprints. 

Main Story: "Bring Me a Dream" 

The lead story features the Golden Age version of Paul Kirk, a big-game hunter turned masked vigilante known as the Manhunter. 

• The Conflict: Manhunter’s brutal methods of hunting a heinous murderer draw the attention of the Golden Age Sandman (Wesley Dodds) and his sidekick, Sandy the Golden Boy.
• The Clash: The heroes engage in a "meat and potatoes" vigilante battle as Sandman attempts to stop Manhunter from acting as "judge, jury, and executioner" on his prey.
• Creative Team: Written by Keith Giffen and Dan DiDio, with art by Mark Buckingham. 

Backup Feature: "The Demon and the Infernal Prisons" 

This short story features Etrigan the Demon (Jason Blood). 

• Plot: Jason Blood laments his condition to a mysterious old man, leading to a conflict where Blood contemplates if he and his demonic alter-ego can finally coexist.
• Creative Team: Written by Sam Humphries with art by Steve Rude.
