Marvel/DC: Deadpool/Batman # 1, published by Marvel Comics on September 17, 2025, is the first part of a historic two-part crossover between Marvel and DC—the first intercompany collaboration in over 20 years. The 57-page one-shot is an anthology issue featuring a main story and several backup team-ups between iconic characters from both universes. 

"The Dead of Knight" 

Written by Zeb Wells and drawn by Greg Capullo, the story brings the Merc with a Mouth to Gotham City for the first time. 

• The Contract: Wade Wilson is hired by an unknown client to assassinate Bruce Wayne. Deadpool breaks into Wayne Manor and solicits a job from Bruce (unaware he is Batman), who refuses.
• The Team-Up: After seeing the Bat-Signal, Deadpool rushes to find Batman. Following a brief fight, Batman reluctantly agrees to work with Deadpool to track down the Joker, who is planning to release a massive Joker Venom bomb capable of infecting a small country.
• The Double-Cross: While riding in the Batmobile, Deadpool knocks Batman out with sleeping gas, revealing he was actually hired by the Joker to deliver the Dark Knight.
• Resolution: Batman eventually manipulates the two villains into turning on each other. Deadpool ultimately saves the city by using his healing factor to trigger a failsafe on the Joker's bomb, surviving the resulting explosion. 

The issue features several high-profile creative teams for short crossover tales: 

• Captain America & Wonder Woman: A montage of their interactions across decades, including a WWII mission.
• Daredevil & Green Arrow: A "quip-heavy" action story where the two vigilantes battle the Hand and the League of Shadows.
• Rocket Raccoon & Green Lantern: An "exchange program" where Hal Jordan joins the Guardians of the Galaxy while Rocket becomes a Green Lantern.
• Batman (DKR) & Wolverine (Old Man Logan): A brief showdown between older, dystopian versions of the characters written and drawn by Frank Miller.
• Jeff the Land Shark & Krypto: A silent, playful story of the two super-pets playing catch near the Fortress of Solitude.
• First Appearance: Enter Logo!: Introduces "Logo," an Amalgam character combining Lobo and Wolverine.
