Models Inc. # 1, published in October 2009, kicks off a four-issue miniseries that mixes high fashion with a "whodunnit" murder mystery, bringing together Marvel's classic romance-era characters and modern icons.

The story, titled "Loaded," begins at New York City Fashion Week, where the industry's elite have gathered for a high-stakes runway show.

• The Cast: The book stars Mary Jane Watson, Patsy Walker (Hellcat), and classic 1960s models Millie the Model, Chili Storm, and Hedy Wolfe.
• The Incident: During the climactic moment of a major fashion show, a character is murdered right on the catwalk. The prime suspect is none other than Millie Collins (Millie the Model), who is framed for the crime.
• The Mystery: Mary Jane and Patsy Walker team up to clear Millie's name. They navigate the cutthroat world of modeling, where everyone has a motive—ranging from professional jealousy to secret romances.
• Backup Story: The issue also includes a short feature starring Tim Gunn (of Project Runway fame), who encounters Iron Man and helps him with a "fashion emergency" involving his armor.
