Murder Podcast # 1, released on September 10, 2025, is the flagship debut series from Ignition Press, a new publisher co-founded by industry veterans Jamie S. Rich, Filip Sablik, and Jeremy Haun. 

"Dead Sounds" 

The story explores the cultural obsession with true crime podcasts and adds a deadly supernatural or psychological twist. 

• The Premise: A mysterious podcast titled Dead Sounds, which many thought had been discontinued, suddenly resurfaces in listeners' feeds.
• The Horror: When people press play, they are overtaken by an uncontrollable, trance-like homicidal urge, going on violent rampages that only stop once they are dead or incapacitated.
• The Protagonists: The narrative follows Mina and her friends, true crime enthusiasts who initially treat these grisly local killings as gossip and "fodder for conversation".
• The Conflict: As the murders occur closer to their own lives, Mina and her group realize they are becoming part of the very investigation they used to listen to for entertainment. 
• Writer: Jeremy Haun (The Beauty, The Realm).
• Artist: Mike Tisserand (animation veteran known for The Dragon Prince).
• Colorist: Nick Filardi.

Critics generally praised the issue as a "solid start" with a clever, terrifying hook.

Prior to the standard release, a "Cold Open" introductory comic was funded via Kickstarter in April 2025. A rare Ashcan Edition signed by Jeremy Haun was also released as a collector's item.
