Old Man Logan # 1 2015 NM-

Old Man Logan # 1 (July 2015) is a Secret Wars tie-in that takes place in "The Wastelands," a dystopian domain of Battleworld where villains have conquered the world. The issue follows Logan as he is spurred into action by the discovery of an Ultron head and begins a quest that forces him to cross the forbidden borders between domains. 

The story picks up some time after the original "Old Man Logan" narrative, where Logan is living in "The Wastelands" (formerly parts of the US that are now a villain-ruled patchwork domain of Battleworld). He is attempting to bring some form of law to the people, but the world is still a violent, broken place. 

• The Catalyst: A functioning head of an Ultron 5 robot falls from the sky, a relic from outside his domain. This anomaly prompts Logan to leave his area and investigate the source of the Ultron units.
• The Hunt: Logan interrupts a human trafficking ring run by the Gladiator and the Flying Devils in New Vegas, brutally killing them and rescuing a group of women to end their operations. He is determined to find answers about the Ultron technology.
• A World of Domains: The issue establishes the nature of Battleworld, a planet made of different realities separated by giant walls. Logan's journey takes him to Hammer Falls, where he speaks with an aged Emma Frost, who is injured and dying from a confrontation with "Punishers". She tells him the Ultron head came from beyond the "Shield" (the wall) and that he should not try to be a hero in a world ruled by villains.
• Crossing the Border: Disregarding Emma's advice, Logan begins scaling the immense wall that separates the Wastelands from other domains of Battleworld, a feat considered impossible. 

Old Man Logan #1 was a limited series tie-in to the larger Secret Wars event, which ultimately led to the character being transported to the main Marvel Universe continuity.
