One-Punch Man # 1 2015 (Chapter title: "One Punch") is the debut of the hit superhero parody manga by ONE and Yusuke Murata. It introduces Saitama, an average-looking man who has trained so hard he can defeat any opponent with a single blow, leading to a life of profound boredom. 

Story Synopsis: "One Punch" 

The first chapter establishes the series' signature blend of high-octane action and dry humor: 

• The Threat: An incredibly powerful villain named Vaccine Man appears in City A, claiming to be the "Earth’s apostle" sent to wipe out humanity for polluting the planet.
• The Encounter: Just as Vaccine Man is about to kill a young girl, Saitama arrives. He introduces himself as "just a guy who's a hero for fun".
• The Climax: The monster is enraged by Saitama's casual attitude and transforms into a massive, more terrifying form. Saitama effortlessly obliterates him with a single, nonchalant punch.
• The Reaction: Instead of celebrating, Saitama yells in frustration because the fight ended too quickly yet again, reinforcing his struggle to find a meaningful challenge. 

In the compiled Volume 1 (released by VIZ Media in English), several other key stories are included alongside the debut: 

• Origin Story: Reveals Saitama’s past as an unemployed salaryman who decided to become a hero after saving a "ball-chinned kid" from the crab-monster Crablante.
• Genos' Debut: Introduces Genos, a serious 19-year-old cyborg who witnesses Saitama’s power during a battle with Mosquito Girl and begs to become his disciple.
• The Subterraneans: Features a famous dream sequence where Saitama finally experiences a thrilling, life-or-death battle against powerful underground monsters, only to wake up and find the real ones are pathetically weak.
