Punisher War Journal: Brother # 1 one-shot, published on October 12, 2022. It is part of a series of three specials—alongside Blitz and Base—that tie into Jason Aaron’s 2022 Punisher run, exploring Frank Castle’s new role as the High Slayer of the Hand. 

The issue introduces a global underworld plot to eliminate the Punisher. 

• The Bounty: After several high-profile assassins fail to kill Frank Castle, leaders of the world's criminal organizations, terrorist groups, and corrupt governments unite to pool their resources. They place a $500 million bounty on his head, incentivizing everyone from elite mercenaries to small-town crooks to track him.
• The Hunt: The bounty is tracked via a dark web platform with live-streaming and geotagging. In one instance, a young boy earns $500,000 just for uploading a photo of Frank.
• The Conflict: Frank targets the Brodsky Brothers in Eastern Europe while being hounded by an endless wave of bounty hunters. The story culminates in a brutal confrontation with his long-time rival Jigsaw, whom the Punisher ultimately kills using his new supernatural abilities and weaponry provided by the Hand.
