Red Hulk # 1 Foil Variant 2025 NM

Red Hulk # 1 (February 26, 2025) is a tie-in to the "One World Under Doom" event, where General "Thunderbolt" Ross is a prisoner of Doctor Doom and must use his military expertise to plot an escape from Doom's secret, high-tech prison. 

The issue places Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross in a high-security prison deep underground, where he is forced by Doctor Doom to run war and disaster scenarios as part of a "think tank" for global domination plans. Ross is held in a cell with an inhibitor collar that prevents him from transforming into the Red Hulk. 

The main plot of the first issue focuses on Ross discovering he is not alone and planning a prison break: 

• Communication: Ross realizes there are other prisoners when he hears tapping in Morse code.
• The Team: He learns his fellow captives include Machine Man, Deathlok, General Simon Ryker, and other brilliant minds.
• The Escape: Ross and Machine Man coordinate a plan. Machine Man breaks through the ventilation system to reach Ross's cell. They attack a Doombot delivering a meal to obtain its chip technology and remove Ross's inhibitor collar, freeing the Red Hulk.
• The Cliffhanger: The issue ends as more Doombots arrive to investigate, and the Red Hulk is unleashed and ready to fight, setting up a thrilling prison break narrative for the rest of the series.
