Rick and Morty: The End #1, released on December 3, 2025, is the first issue of a six-part miniseries that serves as the finale to Oni Press' Rick and Morty comic saga. The story picks up after the events of Rick and Morty vs. the Universe, with Rick Sanchez as the most wanted man in every dimension, on the run from virtually every entity in existence. 

Plot Summary and Key Events 

The issue sets up a high-stakes chase where two members of the Smith family are independently hunting Rick: 

• Morty's Pursuit: Morty Smith decides to pursue Rick, believing he is the only one who knows his grandfather well enough to bring him in alive. Morty is depicted as more competent and serious, having adopted a Clint Eastwood-style cloak and a laser gun as he tracks Rick to the "bleeding edge of reality." He fights off various bounty hunters, including a parody of '80s action heroes called the "Ball Fondlers".
• Space Beth's Pursuit: The alternate dimension version of Beth, known as "Space Beth," is also hot on Rick's trail, determined to bring him in, and she doesn't care whether he is dead or alive.
• Rick's Whereabouts: Rick, in an unexpected twist, is revealed to be hiding in a peaceful, non-chaotic universe, the last place anyone would expect him to be. The issue sets up a race to see who will get to Rick first and what the consequences of their confrontation will be.
• The Stakes: The issue lives up to its "The End" title by setting up a narrative that feels like a potential series finale for the comic franchise, promising "epic repercussions for what's coming next" as Oni Press' license for the comics concludes in 2026.
