Secret Six # 1 2006 NM-

Secret Six # 1 (2006) is the first issue of a six-part miniseries titled "Six Degrees of Devastation." Released on May 24, 2006, it follows the team introduced in the Villains United crossover. 

The story begins with the team on a high-stakes mission in North Korea to rescue one of their own, a Parademon, before he can be executed. 

• The Conflict: While the team successfully navigates the prison break, they soon discover that they are being hunted. Members of the Secret Society of Super-Villains, including Doctor Psycho and The Calculator, have orchestrated a series of targeted attacks to wipe out the Six once and for all.
• Team Expansion: Toward the end of the issue, Catman approaches The Mad Hatter (Jervis Tetch) to join as the team's sixth member.
• The Reveal: It is revealed that someone is manipulating events from the shadows to ensure the Secret Six do not survive their current "freelance" status. 
• Catman (Thomas Blake): The team's tracker and increasingly capable leader.
• Deadshot (Floyd Lawton): The cynical, expert marksman.
• Scandal Savage: The highly skilled daughter of Vandal Savage.
• Rag Doll (Peter Merkel Jr.): A disturbingly flexible contortionist.
• Knockout: A former Female Fury and Scandal's lover.
• The Mad Hatter: Recruited at the end of the issue as a temporary (and highly unstable) addition.
