Snotgirl # 1 2016 VF/NM

Snotgirl # 1, released in July 2016 by Image Comics, is a darkly comedic take on the life of a social media influencer. It introduces Lottie Person, a glamorous fashion blogger who projects a perfect image online but is secretly plagued by severe allergies, insecurity, and a messy personal life. 

The first issue establishes the contrast between Lottie's curated online persona and her chaotic reality, which takes a dark turn after she meets a new "friend". 

• The Perfect Façade: Lottie Person is a successful fashion blogger with a seemingly ideal life, but in reality, her friends are self-absorbed, her boyfriend just left her for a younger girl, and she suffers from chronic, embarrassing allergies that she hides from the world.
• Meeting "Coolgirl": Lottie meets a seemingly cool and confident girl named Caroline, who has the same coffee order. Lottie, desperate for a real friend, is drawn to her, and they decide to go out for drinks.
• The Bathroom Incident: At the bar, Lottie has an intense allergy attack and retreats to the bathroom. Caroline follows her in an attempt to comfort her but calls her "Snottie". This triggers a fit of rage in Lottie, and in a confusing sequence possibly influenced by new medication, Caroline ends up on the floor in a pool of blood.
• The Mystery: Lottie flees the scene in shock, unsure if she is responsible for Caroline's apparent death. When no one reports a murder or a body is found, the issue sets up a murder mystery, with Lottie as an unreliable narrator to her own life.
